Insulated Glass Units – Energy Efficiency, Comfort & Acoustic Control
At NSG, we supply and install high-performance Insulated Glass Units (IGUs)—commonly referred to as double or triple glazed units. These systems are designed to improve thermal insulation, reduce energy costs, and enhance acoustic comfort in homes, commercial buildings, and public spaces.
What Are IGUs?
An IGU consists of two or more panes of glass separated by a sealed air or gas-filled cavity. This cavity acts as a thermal barrier, significantly reducing heat transfer between the interior and exterior environments.
We offer:
- Double glazed units – two panes with a spacer cavity.
- Triple glazed units – three panes for enhanced insulation.
- Low-E coatings, argon gas fills, and warm edge spacers for maximum performance.

Insulation Benefits
- Energy Efficiency: IGUs help maintain indoor temperatures, reducing the need for heating in winter and cooling in summer.
- Lower Energy Bills: Improved insulation means less reliance on HVAC systems.
- Condensation Control: The sealed cavity reduces internal condensation on cold days.
- Sustainability: Lower energy consumption contributes to a reduced carbon footprint.
Sound Reduction
IGUs also offer excellent acoustic insulation, especially when combined with laminated glass or asymmetric pane thicknesses. This makes them ideal for:
- Homes near busy roads or airports
- Offices in urban environments
- Schools and healthcare facilities
